2007-11-08 byInitially, Veterans Day was known as Armistice Day. Unfortunately, few today realize that in 1918 on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, World War One ended. I used Veterans Day as a way of introducing WWI. Each year I would teach my daughters more and more of the history behind the holiday. Join with us as we share two of the stories of the Great War.
